Please include your name and the names of anyone else you would like to register. We will reach out and confirm registration

How will you be paying for registration?

We are thrilled to remain at home this year. Whether you are new or returning-  We wanted to take the time to go over a few things:

We play rain or shine.
The tournament is hosted in our backyard under tents- Keep this in mind and dress for the weather. Restrooms are port-a-pots.

Since this is at our house, if you can carpool, please do.
Be sure that you have a safe way home- we won’t be hosting any overnight visitors. We want everyone to get home safely. Please do not bring your children or pets- this is not the environment for them.

Buy-In is now $50.
The tournament fee may be new or different than other tournaments- this however is NOT a regular tournament. After looking at how we could improve we decided to continue with having it catered which includes apps, the main course & dessert.
We have vetted several local vendors for this and are pleased with what they have to offer. This means we do NOT need any additional food items to be brought.

Your Buy-In also gets you a souvenir koozie and entry for the Ace of Spades. We will have bartenders that will label your coolers when you arrive and get drinks for you during play. This year we will offer ADVANCE ELECTRONIC payments- the day of the tournament all payments MUST be cash.

It is a good idea to have extra cash the day of for the 50/50 (which is how we fund ALL of the tournament) or for tipping the bartenders/helpers.

Please get your RSVP in and let us know if it changes- this is a courtesy not just to us but everyone playing- last minute changes can cause a delay in many aspects.

This event is meant to be a fun day out with other people who enjoy the game as much as we do. That being said, this is an all-day event. It takes time to get everyone registered, go through the rules, do counts at intermission, final tallies and then the final ceremony. We will have a leaderboard posted and will do our best to keep wait to a minimum.

We have worked very hard to make this year the best yet and it is sure to be a night you will not forget.

The number one rule is always
Don’t be a jerk.

We can’t wait to see you all!

  • How many people win?
We pay out cash to at least the top 20% of winners, beyond that we have baskets and prizes. Roughly 40% of winners will get a prize in some form. Our cash payouts have been calculated based on the number of players and is verified before any monies are paid.
  • Can I come early to help/get dressed/set up/hang out?
No. We appreciate anyones desire to help us, and we have arranged all the needed help! We want you to just show up at 1pm for Check-In and enjoy yourself! Our house will be closed- it is locked and NO ONE is to be up there. Aside from this great event we have kids and dogs and we do not want any of our festivities to disturb their normal routines. This also means arrive ready- there is no place to get yourself dressed. We keep the main tents secured until after check-in begins. This is a big event for us and we want to be able to show it to everyone at the same time- seeing your reactions makes the hard work all worth it!
  • How long should I expect to be here?
This is a common question that is difficult to give an exact answer for. We say this is an all day event and we do our best to keep everything moving. This is also meant to be an event and an experience. We want people to enjoy all the hard work that we have put forth. All scores are checked and double checked at intermission and then the end. This takes time, especially if there are errors or ties. In the past we have been done with all closing ceremonies by 8pm- but this can vary depending on how many players we have. We do ask that you respect those that are winning cash or prizes and wait until the end to leave. If you are not present during the final ceremony and you have won, you forfeit any winnings, the final 50/50 is also drawn at the end of the evening, and winners MUST be present to collect.
  • How Does play work? Is it progressive?
We have our own tournament format. Everyone will get assigned a color and a number- this will determine where you play each round. You never have the same opponents/partners. Each round is 8 hands- everyone deals twice. Don't worry if it sounds confusing- we will go over everything the day of and have MANY returning players that know how play flows.
  • Why is this tournament so expensive?
We like to think that this tournament is one of a kind. We take great care and spend countless hours trying to make this more than just a day of playing cards. Of your $50 Buy-In, half is paid back out to the top (at least) 20% of winners. A portion then goes towards the Ace of Spade side game, one 50/50 ticket and the remaining amount helps to offset the cost of the catered dinner.
  • How can I help?
We appreciate it! If you would like to help in some way, feel free to shoot us a text or email. We plan out specific duties way ahead of time and do most of the prep on our own. IF you have a basket or prize you would like to donate as one of the prizes, just reach out! We are also taking referrals for local bakers for the desserts. The biggest way you can help is to spread the word and buy 50/50 the day of :)
  • Where do we park?
We will have people out directing cars the day of the tournament and spots will be labeled. As this is at our house, we ask that if you can carpool that you do so. If the weather has been particularly wet, also keep that in mind. There is a church across the street with a lot that we can use if the need arises.
  • Can I smoke/vape/etc?
There will be areas around the fire pit for smoking. Please pick up after yourselves as this is our home. We ask for no vaping or smoking in the tents, there is time between rounds for you to handle that. And keep your wits about you= this goes for smoking, drinking, edibles, etc. You need to be able to continue the game safely.
  • Do I HAVE to wear a costume?
Absolutely not! We encourage it and love planning our own costumes each year, but in no way is it required. If you are dressing up- keep the weather in mind. The tents are outdoors and the bathrooms are port-a-pots, you will also be playing cards and rotating through tables all evening. Large bulky costumes (inflatables or very tall items) are discouraged, as well as any full face masks or gloves that would prohibit you from playing.
  • How do I add a new question & answer?
To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.
  • How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?
You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
